ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
DAVE JULIAN is a Seattle-based photographer and nationally-awarded educator. Between editorial, corporate and travel assignments, he teaches photography and creative development. Since 2001, Dave has taught workshops in creative photography, Lightroom, and Photoshop at the country's leading facilities including the renown Maine Media Workshops, Santa Fe Workshops, Anderson Ranch, Vancouver Photo Workshops, Photographic Center Northwest, Luminous Works, Bald Head Island and at sea with UnCruise small-ship adventures. He currently runs annual trips to destinations including annually in Cuba and Coastal Maine, plus Sri Lanka, and Prague and Vietnam in 2020. He is also professor of photography at The University of Washington and Seattle Central Creative Academy. His articles in landscape, travel and street photography have appeared in many books and publications including Nikon World, Outside, National Geographic Traveler, Islands, After Capture, SHOTS, Outdoor Photographer, FUJILOVE and Digital Photo Pro. Dave is now guest-hosting on the photography podcast Hit The Streets.

ALAN LAWRENCE is a Seattle-based photographer and educator. Having studied under Jay Maisel and Arthur Meyerson, Alan has become one of the leading photography educators in the area. Alan teaches photography, Lightroom and Photoshop at Bellevue College and Cascadia Community College as well as in private workshops. His images have appeared in several publications including, most recently, Popular Photography Magazine. Alan leads annual photo tours to Arizona, New Orleans, Banff & Jasper, Oregon Coast and Oaxaca, Mexico for Day of the Dead and more through Photographic Workshop Adventures.
